AFFIN Nature Discovery Day: Embracing Neurodiversity FY2026

Nature, Inclusion, and Empowerment

On 30 April 2026, Little Ones Eduworld proudly joined hands with AFFIN Islamic Bank and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF Malaysia) to host the AFFIN Nature Discovery Day at Farm in the City, Seri Kembangan.

This heart-warming initiative was held in conjunction with Earth Day and Autism Awareness Month, celebrating both our planet and the unique strengths of neurodivergent children.

A Day of Discovery and Growth

The programme’s highlight was the Tunas Hijau tree-planting activity, symbolizing growth, resilience, and hope. Students also enjoyed guided outdoor experiences – from exploring the Pet Village and Longkang Fish zones to learning about Malaysia’s fascinating reptiles in the Exhibition Hall.

Each activity was carefully designed to provide:

  • Inclusion: Supported participation in group activities.
  • Engagement: Structured, guided experiences to sustain attention.
  • Empowerment: Opportunities to follow instructions, interact socially, and build confidence in a safe environment.
Collaboration for Inclusion

This year’s expanded collaboration with MINDEF Malaysia and KESUMA strengthened the support system for our students. With 40 children from LOE campuses (Seksyen 4, Setia Permai, and Taman Rowther Gombak), the event was made possible through the dedication of:

  • AFFIN volunteers – assisting with coordination and checkpoints.
  • LOE teachers – guiding students with higher support needs.
  • MINDEF volunteers – providing one-to-one support and encouragement.

Together, they created a nurturing environment where every child could thrive.

Safety and Care at the Core

The programme fostered steady movement, environmental mindfulness, and gentle redirection to help students feel at ease. With teachers and volunteers working side by side, every child was guided with patience and compassion. These efforts opened the door to meaningful, real-world outdoor learning experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.

Voices of Gratitude

We extend our heartfelt thanks to AFFIN Group for their continuous commitment to community empowerment, MINDEF Malaysia for their strong presence and logistical support. Kelab Sumber Manusia MINDEF (KESUMA) for their invaluable involvement in making this day a success. Above all, the steadfast commitment of our LOE parents and teachers made this programme possible, ensuring every child was supported with care and dedication.

The AFFIN Nature Discovery Day was more than just an event – it was a celebration of diversity, resilience, and community. By planting trees together, we planted seeds of understanding, inclusion, and hope for a brighter future.

At Little Ones Eduworld, we believe that every child deserves a place to grow, learn, and shine. This day reminded us that when schools, families, and partners unite, we create a world where every life has value.
