What kind of support does LOE provide for children with additional needs?
LOE Continuum of Inclusive Education
At Little Ones Eduworld (LOE), we recognise that every child develops at a unique pace. Our Inclusive Education Model follows a continuum of support, where the level of intervention is tailored to each child's individual developmental needs and adjusted as the child progresses.
Inclusive Plus Programme - Highest Level of Individualised Support
Children requiring intensive intervention begin in the Inclusive Plus Programme. They receive frequent individual and small-group intervention sessions while participating in inclusive classroom experiences whenever appropriate. Intervention focuses on building foundational skills in communication, learning, behaviour regulation, social interaction, sensory processing, and independence.
As children demonstrate consistent progress and increased readiness, they may transition to the Inclusive Programme.
Inclusive Programme - Balanced Classroom Participation with Targeted Support
Children in the Inclusive Programme learn alongside their typically developing peers in mainstream classrooms supported by two classroom teachers. In addition, they receive scheduled pull-out intervention sessions that target specific developmental goals while allowing them to benefit from daily inclusive classroom experiences.
The aim is to strengthen the child's academic, communication, social, behavioural, and adaptive skills while promoting meaningful participation in mainstream learning.
As children become increasingly independent and require fewer specialised supports, they may gradually transition to the Mainstream Programme.
Mainstream Programme - Independent Participation
Children who demonstrate age-appropriate learning, communication, behavioural, and adaptive skills can participate successfully in the mainstream preschool programme with minimal or no additional intervention. Their progress continues to be monitored to help them remain engaged and successful in the classroom.
Multidisciplinary Support Across the Continuum
Regardless of where a child is on the continuum, LOE believes that collaboration is key to successful inclusion. Children in both the Inclusive Plus and Inclusive Programmes have access to:
- Educational Psychology interventions
- Occupational Therapy interventions
- Individualised educational planning
- Regular developmental monitoring
- Collaborative consultation with parents and teachers
A Journey of Growth
The LOE Continuum of Inclusive Education is designed to provide the right support at the right time. Rather than placing children into fixed programmes, we view each programme as a stage within a developmental journey. As children acquire new skills and greater independence, the intensity of support is gradually reduced while opportunities for participation in mainstream learning are progressively increased.
Inclusive Plus → Inclusive → Mainstream.
This flexible pathway ensures that every child is supported to achieve his or her fullest potential in a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally responsive learning environment.
How does LOE identify the right support for my child?
Our team considers each child's individual developmental needs and adjusts support as the child progresses. Speak with our specialist to discuss the most suitable next step for your child.
Will my child be included in regular classroom activities?
Where appropriate, children participate in inclusive classroom experiences alongside their typically developing peers. The level of support is tailored so every child can participate meaningfully and build independence.
How does LOE involve parents in the process?
Collaboration with parents and teachers is a key part of our inclusive model. We share observations and progress so support can remain responsive to each child's needs.
What if my child needs ongoing therapy?
Our team can coordinate support through Educational Psychology and Occupational Therapy interventions as part of a child's individualised plan. Please speak with our specialist for guidance based on your child's needs.
