Our Founding Story
A Journey of Care and Joy
It all started with a mother's mission to give her child the best start in life. Guided by love, research and a deep belief in every child's potential, we created a joyful space where children grow with curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
The Beginning
A home became the first classroom
1982
Our founder returned from the United Kingdom with a two-year-old son and another baby on the way. With very few early childhood centres in Shah Alam at the time, she began imagining a home-based developmental programme where children could learn through care, play and close observation.
1989
Educare Joy School was born
The first school opened in Seksyen 4, Shah Alam, with a simple but powerful motto: “Educating Children through Care and Joy.” Discovery, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning became the heart of the classroom.
Learning by Listening
Building on Experience
A background in physics, knowledge of early childhood care from the UK and support from two ITM research assistants helped turn daily classroom observations into a thoughtful learning approach.
Working with children who had ADHD, rare conditions and different learning challenges strengthened a lifelong commitment to understand—and include—every child.
A Wider Vision
From Research to LOES
In 1998, after Puan Wan Roslina completed her Master's in Human Developmental Psychology, another Educare Joy School opened in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan.
There, an important insight emerged: many bright children struggled to communicate, read and write in English. That challenge inspired Little Ones English Systems (LOES) — a practical programme designed to help children use English with confidence.
The Original System
Made for children to see, hear and do
Little Ones English Systems (LOES) brought language into everyday classroom life through visual prompts, movement, music, reading and writing.

Growing with the Times
One philosophy, many ways to learn
Inspired by the natural environment around us, we developed additional programmes like Little Ones Meaningful Mathematics and Little Ones Adventurous Science.
These are based on our 5 Ex-Learning philosophy, where children Explore, Experience, Explain, Exemplify and Excel in their learning.
A Legacy of Learning
A complete system that continues to grow
The first Little Ones Eduworld centre opened in Seksyen 4, Shah Alam, in 2005. Learning, administration and financial frameworks now work together to support children, educators and every centre.
