Our Founding Story
It all started with a mother’s mission to give her child the best start in life. Guided by love, research and a deep belief in every child’s potential, we created a joyful space where children grow with curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
A Journey of Care and Joy
In 1982, our founder returned from the UK with a 2-year-old son and another baby on the way. At that time, Shah Alam, Selangor, had very few early childhood centres, which sparked the idea to create a home-based developmental programme for children.
In 1989, Educare Joy School was born in Section 4, Shah Alam, with the simple but powerful motto: “Educating Children through Care and Joy.”
We believed in the magic of discovery, where children could explore their world with joy and curiosity, fostering a lifelong love for learning.

Building on Experience
With backgrounds in physics and an understanding of early childhood care from the UK, we began developing our own methods. We also brought in two graduates from ITM (now UITM) as research assistants to help refine our approach.
While working with 5- and 6-year-olds, we encountered children with special needs, a young girl with a rare condition, a boy with ADHD and another with learning challenges. These early experiences shaped our commitment to meeting the unique needs of every child.

Expanding Our Vision
In 1998, after Puan Wan Roslina earned her Master’s in Human Developmental Psychology (specialising in Early Childhood and Adolescence), we opened another Educare Joy School in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. This new chapter led to an important discovery: many of the children were intelligent, but struggled with English.
This insight inspired us to create Little Ones English Systems (LOES): a programme designed to help children not just learn, but thrive in English communication, reading, and writing.

We tested the system with over 200 children at Affan Little Muslims preschool in Beserah, Pahang, a small fishing village at the time. The results were incredible, LOES helped children confidently read, write and communicate in English. Even now, it continues to be a trusted system in many classrooms.
Growing with the Times
Inspired by the natural environment around us, we developed additional programmes like Little Ones Meaningful Mathematics and Little Ones Adventurous Science. These are based on our 5 Ex-Learning philosophy, where children Explore, Experience, Explain, Exemplify and Excel in their learning.
A Legacy of Learning
Today, after over 20 years, our system includes essential frameworks for Administration, Accounting, and most importantly, Learning. The first Little Ones Eduworld centre opened in Section 4 Shah Alam in 2005, and since then, we’ve expanded to several locations across Malaysia, including:
