NeuroStars Discovery Day at Petrosains KLCC: LOE & Affin Islamic Bank Celebrate Inclusive Education

On 9 December 2025, Little Ones Eduworld (LOE) together with Affin Islamic Bank Berhad hosted the much-anticipated NeuroStars Discovery Day at Petrosains, Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). The event brought together 103 participants from three LOE campuses, uniting children from both the Inclusive Plus and Inclusive programmes in a day of discovery, inclusion, and joy.

For the children, the visit to Petrosains was more than just an outing. It was a chance to experience sensory learning and hands-on exploration in a structured environment designed to nurture confidence and curiosity. Inclusive Plus pupils received close therapeutic support and supervision, while Inclusive learners thrived in small‑group activities guided by LOE teachers. Together, they explored science exhibits, engaged in interactive sessions, and celebrated milestones in a safe and supportive space.

The event was graced by distinguished guests from Affin Islamic Bank, underscoring the strength of this CSR partnership. Attendees included Tuan Haji Musa Abdul Malek, AFFIN Islamic Chairman; Encik Mohd Faiz Rahim, CEO of Yayasan AFFIN; Encik Syed Muhammad Syed Mohamad Nasir, Head of Shariah Research; Encik Daniel Farhan Yahaya, Manager of Business Strategy Unit, Business Planning & Analytics, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad; Ustaz Akmal Asyraf Ab Jamal, Head of Community Empowerment Unit, Shariah Department, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad; Puan Nor Azliza Abd Rahman, Chief People Officer of Affin Hwang Investment Bank; and Puan Soufiah Musadik, Director of Group Talent Management.

Representing Little Ones Eduworld, the leadership team included Dr. Mohd Fauzi Shaffie (Chairman), Puan Wan Roslina Wan Yusoff (Founder & Educational Psychologist); Ts. Abdullah Munzir Mohd Fauzi, CEO; and Puan Fadhlina Ramli, CFO. Their presence highlighted LOE’s commitment to building bridges between education and the wider community, ensuring every child is empowered through guided, therapeutic, and evidence-based learning.

Throughout the day, children immersed themselves in sensory exploration, interactive group activities, and even a joyful birthday celebration for December-born students. Volunteers from Affin Islamic Bank stood side by side with LOE teachers, offering empathy, patience, and encouragement. For many, it was a firsthand experience of inclusive education in Malaysia, showcasing the beauty of neurodiversity and the importance of supportive learning environments.

The NeuroStars Discovery Day at Petrosains KLCC was more than an event; it was a living testament to how corporate social responsibility (CSR) and educational vision can come together to create lasting social impact. For LOE students, it was a day of empowerment and inclusion. For Affin Islamic Bank, it was an opportunity to deepen its CSR commitment by engaging directly with neurodivergent learners and learning best practices in supportive interaction.

LOE extends its heartfelt appreciation to Affin Islamic Bank for their continued trust and partnership in championing inclusive education. Together, we celebrated not only discovery but also the values of empathy, acceptance, and community. The smiles, laughter, and moments of wonder at Petrosains will remain a reminder of how inclusion transforms lives and how every child, given the right support, can shine as a star.
