On Friday, June 21st, 2024, LOESP1 successfully conducted a Little Hajj program for its students. The event took place across three locations: the kindergarten field, the TCSP1 parking area, and the Setia Permai hall grounds.
Eight teachers and one helper facilitated the program for a total of 36 children. The participants included:
- 8 children from the Therapy Center
- 4 children from the 4-year-old group
- 9 children from the 5-year-old group
- 10 children from the 6-year-old group
- 5 children from CC
The Little Hajj program was divided into two sessions:
- 8:30 am – 9:30 am: Group TCSP1
- 9:35 am – 11:00 am: Group PSSP1
The TCSP1 group embarked on their symbolic Hajj pilgrimage at 8:30 am, starting their journey at the kindergarten field for registration and the intention at Miqat. Teacher Farah and Teacher Aini assisted the group.
Throughout their journey, the children visited various checkpoints representing different stages of the Hajj pilgrimage. Teacher Ain explained the significance of each checkpoint:
- 2nd Checkpoint: Wukuf in Arafah
- 3rd Checkpoint: Muzdalifah (collecting pebbles)
- 4th Checkpoint: Mina (represented by a tent, with Teacher Syim and Teacher Tia assisting the children)
- 5th Checkpoint: Throwing stones at Jamrah (performed in pairs with teacher supervision)
- 6th Checkpoint: Tawaf (circumambulation around the Kaaba, held at the hall grounds)
- 7th Checkpoint: Sa’e (ritual running between Safa and Marwa)
- 8th Checkpoint: Tahalul (symbolic haircutting by teachers)
- 9th Checkpoint: Zam Zam Water Zone (drinking Zam Zam water)
The TCSP1 group successfully completed their pilgrimage by 9:25 am and returned to their classrooms.
The Little Hajj program provided a valuable opportunity for LOESP1 students to learn about the Hajj pilgrimage in a fun and engaging way. The dedication of the teachers and helper ensured a smooth and successful event for all participants.
