Bags are packed!
After two years of “Pandemic Raya’, we finally get to celebrate Aidilfitri together with the whole family. By now, every household in Malaysia is ready with their travel plans to return to their hometown.
It is officially the final week of Ramadan. Most of us are busy preparing for the Aidilfitri festivity. Clothes, decorations, the first day of the Syawal menu, and most importantly, the Raya cookies.
Time seems to be crawling at an extra slow pace at the end of Ramadan. Mothers are the busiest at this moment. We have to prepare for breaking fast and the Raya celebration as well. Let’s call on our little bakers to help prepare for Aidilfitri by giving them this easy No-Bake Rocky Road Cookies recipe from recipegirl.com to make.
NO-BAKE ROCKY ROAD COOKIES
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies
- Chocolate chips
- Nutella
- Sliced, toasted almonds
- Mini marshmallows
You can start by melting the chocolate chips and Nutella using a stove or microwave. Stir the chocolate until smooth. While waiting, place the Rice Krispies, toasted almonds, and mini marshmallows in a bowl. Once the chocolate is ready, pour it into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Drop a tablespoonful of mixture onto baking paper, and you can add chocolate chips, marshmallows, or even M&Ms to it. Once you are done, put the cookies into the fridge to set. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, right? Even Cookie Monster would be all over these delicious Rocky Road Cookies by our little bakers.
Apart from these Rocky Road Cookies, another easy recipe for kids to make is the Honey Cornflakes Cookies. Our little LOE bakers had so much fun baking it with the help of the teachers.
Cookies are done, Raya’s clothes are all set, decorations are well on the way, and we cannot wait for the festivity to start!
